The Mentally Healthy Business Breakfast is South Australia’s largest event dedicated to workplace mental health, aimed at encouraging open, honest, and constructive conversations about workplace mental health, psychosocial risks, and shared responsibility.

Throughout Mental Health Month every October, the South Australian Business Chamber leads a statewide conversation on mentally healthy workplaces, culminating in this flagship event.

Keynote Speaker: Dr Joep van Agteren - CEO, Be Well Co

We are pleased to announce Dr Joep van Agteren as our keynote speaker for 2026. Joep is the CEO of Be Well Co, a social enterprise focused on the promotion of mental health and wellbeing in Australia.
Joep has a PhD in psychology and is an affiliate senior lecturer at Adelaide University, and is a globally recognised expert on mental wellbeing, having contributed to a range of foundational scientific studies, including the development of a recent taxonomy of mental wellbeing. He specialises in translating this scientific research into practical solutions that help people improve the way they feel and behave.
At Be Well Co, he oversees the development of its training and educational solutions and the wider company strategy, while actively working with workplaces, NGOs and government around Australia to implement mental health and wellbeing solutions on the ground.
