Join us for the longest-running poetry showcase in South Carolina, celebrating 19 years of exciting poetry programming since 2002.
Say What Returns to Coffee Underground Sundays! Extended Open Mic hosted by Jenice Pleasant. The night will also Feature Poet Cocoa Flo and Open Mic list for local poets on a first come, first serve basis.
Jasmine​ ​"Cocoa​ ​Flo"​ ​Swanagan​ ​is​ ​a​ ​feisty,​ ​unapologetic,​ ​and​ ​enlightened poet, writer, and speaker​​ ​hailing​ ​from​ ​the​ ​small​ ​city​ ​of​ ​Owensboro,​ ​KY.​ ​​Cocoa​ ​attended​ ​Kentucky Wesleyan College where she received a Bachelors in Computer Information Systems and the​ ​University​ ​of​ ​Cincinnati​ ​where​ ​she received​ ​a​ ​Masters​ ​in​ ​Health​ ​Informatics.​​ ​Lyrically,​ ​she​ ​is​ ​a​ ​roaring​ ​lioness and her ​ability​ ​to​ ​be​ ​both​ ​down​ ​to​ ​Earth​ ​and​ ​exacting is​ ​displayed​ ​whenever​ ​she​ ​speaks.​ In her free time she partakes in mentoring college girls, and speaking at different schools, organizations, and workshops. Her goal is to encourage others to act, think, or heal using her own story as an example of what God, faith, and perseverance can produce.
