Sawubona Friendship Night - Fall 2026
About this Event
The African Village Experience in the Caribbean!
An evening of food, music, storytelling, friendship, and community connection.
Come experience the warmth and joy of the African Village, right here in Vancouver!
In African traditions, gathering around the village fire is about much more than sharing food. It is a time to connect, exchange stories, enjoy music, celebrate life, and nurture the relationships that bring us together.
Inspired by the African philosophy of Ubuntu — "I am because we are", African Friendship Society invites you to slow down, connect with others, and experience the spirit of community in a warm and welcoming African-Caribbean atmosphere.
Whether you come with family, friends, or on your own, there is a place for you around our village fire.
