SAVOURING THE JOY IN LIFE
About this Event
How can we find moments of appreciation and joy in the midst of all the chaos and conflict that pervades our world outside and, perhaps, inside too? What process, what ritual, what routine do we follow that helps us retain hope in life? Nonviolent Communication points us to gratitude, the ‘juice’ within us, that can nourish our daily lives. It offers us the possibility of staying grounded in our compassionate selves and choosing expansion over contraction, abundance over scarcity. Join me in my exploration…
Sudha Shankar has been actively pursuing Nonviolent Communication ever since she was introduced to it in 2009. She helped form and has been facilitating a weekly NVC practice group based out of New Delhi, India, for over 15 years now. The diversity of people, who form this community is testament to Sudha’s intuitive, accessible and embodied guidance. This has led to the emergence of a vibrant community, whose members, in turn, carry the concepts, practice and consciousness of NVC into their lives.
Sudha is Executive Director of the Nonviolent Communication Trust, which was formed to actively live the consciousness and spread the knowledge of Nonviolent Communication in the region. As Assessor, she is in active and close engagement with the emerging group of certification candidates in the sub-continent, organising Mentoring and Assessment events for them and guiding candidates on their journey.
Sudha is Member, Assessors Coordinating Circle, CNVC,that oversees policy about the assessment and certification processes conducted globally.
More Information
This event occurs monthly on a Sunday to support Nonviolent communication (NVC) understanding and practice.
We welcome new participants at any level. It’s fun when a ‘newbie’ comes and we, ‘newbies’ not so long ago, suddenly see that we’ve learned something important we can pass on, at the same time deepening our understanding of new contexts. If you're already skilled in NVC, we would enjoy sharing support and companionship.
$$ info: The requested fee is $20-$40 per person. Please don't let the cost keep you from coming. Click here if money is keeping you from attending. Sustainability is important to us but contribution even more so, which we can't do unless you show up! For more information call Barbra at 410 499 1986 or email (deleting spaces): Qi of NVC @gmail.com
