Savita Damodar Paranjape

This is an all-time classic play of 1985, where the famous actress Reema Lagoo had played the role of Savita, and now, after 40 years, this play is coming back to theatres to give a nail-biting experience of this Psychological Horror Thriller Drama.

This story is set in Vasai. Lead protagonist, Kusum Abhyankar, is a Marathi professor and her Husband, Sharad Abhyankar, runs his own Business. They have been married for 8-10years, but still Kusum is not blessed with motherhood. She has been a victim of acute Stomach pain, which arises at any time and takes a toll on her health. Their Family Doctor, Dr Malik, regularly visits her and treats her, but still, there is no progress in her health. Every medical treatment seems to fail with no improvement in her health. 

Here comes the entry of Ashok, A Research scholar by profession and an acquaintance of Sharad, he has been called to check Kusum and study her health issue. Ashok is also a Palmist, and when he tries to read Kusum's hand, he experiences something else, which is not a medical issue. A twist in the tale unfolds. He discovers Savita in Kusum's personality. Who is Savita? And why does she take over Kusum's body? Is there any unfulfilled desire of Savita, her incomplete wish, which is disturbing Sharad's & Kusum's married life? Or is it Kusum's split personality? 

Will Dr Malik's theory of medical science help Kusum or Ashok's understanding, which is away from the Scientific method, help her overcome Savita?
