The Preservation Board of Martin County has a whole month dedicated to celebrating our heritage, and you're invited to join the journey!To honor our Downtown's story, join Stuart Main Street for this 💙FREE event as we step back in time for our Preservation Month event; Saving Stuart: Then & Now, Preservation Meets Profit.

We’ve all heard it, and many of us feel it. But what if historic preservation is actually our best tool to protect our coastal charm and prevent "over-building"?
This event is a chance to connect with the very minds that shaped Stuart into the vibrant place we know and love today.
PROGRAM:
🤩Special Guest Speakers: We’ll start with an expert briefing from Alayna Gould-Kost (Florida Department of State). Joining us from Tallahassee, Alayna will demystify the preservation process and share how property owners can utilize state tax credits to turn "saving the past" into a smart financial investment.
🎤Panel discussion: Rob Steele (President & CEO of the Historical Society) will moderate a dynamic panel discussion featuring:
Joan Jefferson—the visionary pioneer who started our Stuart Main Street program
Pinal Ghandi-Savdas- City of Stuart CRA Director
Steven Vitale- local heritage advocate, business owner & resident
Rick Gonzalez- Preservation Architect and State Preservation Board Member
Together with Alayna, they will explore how our historic blueprint provides the best path toward a vibrant, sustainable future.
