Hi everyone,
Our next New Berlin Garden Club meeting is coming up, and we have two great presenters lined up!
🌱 Saving Seeds & Pruning Shrubs
📅 Monday, October 12
🕖 7:00–8:30 PM
📍 New Berlin Public Library
Meet Our Presenters
Laurie Baker
Laurie spent 25 years as a commercial underwriter with Zurich Insurance before spending 12 years at Holtz Garden Center. Her love of gardening eventually led her to become a Southeast Wisconsin Master Gardener Volunteer in 2009.
Laurie was the recipient of a Beautification Award and Golden Shovel from the New Berlin Garden Club and the City of New Berlin last year. This past June, her beautiful flower gardens were featured as one of the stops on the Garden Tour.
Laurie has also been a member of Toastmasters for 28 years and is looking forward to sharing her gardening knowledge with us!
Jeff Trader
Jeff spent his first career in commercial banking and the last 27 years of his career as a consultant with VRC, an international valuation firm specializing in business and business-asset valuations related to mergers and acquisitions. He retired 15 years ago and has traveled extensively around the world.
When his children no longer needed him on the sidelines for their sporting activities, Jeff decided it was time for a new hobby. He became a Southeast Wisconsin Master Gardener Volunteer through the University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension, and that hobby has grown into more than ten gardens at his home!
Jeff's gardening philosophy is simple: incorporate your favorite plants and specimens in a way that allows you to sit back, relax, and savor the garden.
We hope you'll join us for a great evening of gardening, learning, and sharing!
