This four-hour course carries a HealthFirst Certificate of Attendance and builds essential knowledge and skills in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and life-threatening medical emergency situations.Learn how to:
- Follow a step-by-step approach to medical emergencies with a protocol to use.
- Call for emergency help in Switzerland and know what to say.
- Assess a person’s level of consciousness.
- Put an unconscious baby, child, or adult into a safe position (the ‘Recovery Position’).
- Give Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to babies, children, and adults.
- Use an Automated External Defibrillator.
- Act in the case of drowning.
- Recognise signs and symptoms of a heart attack or a stroke and know what to do.
- Perform first aid for a choking baby, child, or adult.
