Maldoror (@can.an.actor.bleed) has been a fixture of Los Angeles' industrial, minimal synth, and EBM underground for decades. Through his influential projects Image Of Life (https://imageoflife.bandcamp.com/music) and Pure Ground (https://pureground.bandcamp.com/), he helped shape the city's pre-pandemic dark electronic landscape, laying groundwork for the thriving scene that exists today. Pure Ground's stark blend of minimal synth and industrial electronics earned international recognition, while Image Of Life carried that vision forward through a distinctly melancholic, analog-driven sound.
Some will remember Maldoror from his nights at Das Bunker's former Complex venue and and some for his legendary downstairs residency at Das Bunker events, where he championed EBM, minimal synth, and industrial before their recent resurgence. His sets draw from a deep knowledge of the genre's history, connecting foundational classics with overlooked gems and forgotten dancefloor weapons.
