Save the Locals is a Thursday night summer concert series hosted by La Izquierda Surf and Music. It is free, friendly to all and located in a safe community park on the Seawall on a historic stage known as the Bandshell. It overlooks the ocean and has become a gathering space for Galveston. Each Thursday evening curated regional bands perform their original music and locals set up with their blankets lawn chairs and coolers on the grass. Children run and play and big people meet with their neighbors, chill and dance.
