Save the Dogs Summit
The Ridglan rescue proved what courageous, organized people can accomplish: dogs once condemned to laboratory cages are now safe, loved, and free. From September 4–6 in Madison, Wisconsin, we will build on that victory and take its lessons nationwide—equipping you to join the next major rescue effort at a dog-abusing experimentation facility and defend the right to rescue in court.
This will not be a summit where people simply sit and listen. Participants will:
*Complete an intensive nonviolent open rescue training.
*Learn the legal theory behind the right to rescue from leading lawyers and scholars, then practice delivering closing arguments in a mock trial.
*Build practical skills in campaigning, animal care, knowing your rights, and storytelling.
*Participate in creative, nonviolent demonstrations that bring rescued Ridglan beagles before the Attorney General, District Attorney, and other political leaders—and help make animal rescue a defining public issue.
We are looking for particularly committed participants, so we can train you to organize similar summits and workshops in the future. We want you to bring the skills from this summit back home!
Whether you are a long-time activist or a dog lover new to the movement, we need you—and so do the dogs trapped in labs.
