About this Event

Looking for something to do in Citrus County during Save Our Waters Week? Join us! This paddle is designed for all skill levels, and rental boats are available! Pre-registration is required.

St. Martins Marsh Aquatic Preserve, Florida Park Service, and Florida Public Archaeology Network representatives are excited to host a guided kayak tour exploring the waters of the Crystal River. On our venture, we will explore scenic waters and hidden gems while discussing the culture and natural communities of this area.

Rental vessels are 10-foot, sit-on-top, single-occupancy kayaks. Life vests, paddles, and whistles will be provided. Participants are welcome and encouraged to bring their own whistle; however, all provided equipment will be sanitized prior to use. Participants must wear their life vests during the tour and will need to be able to maneuver their vessel independently for approximately 5 miles for this tour. We will not be in open water, but we will be on the Crystal River where motor boat presence is expected.

Sunscreen, bug spray, water, lunch/snacks are strongly encouraged. These items will not be supplied.

Questions? Contact: Trisha Green at 352-228-6033 / [email protected] OR  Nigel Rudolph at [email protected].

All proceeds benefit St. Martins Marsh Aquatic Preserve through the Aquatic Preserve Society, Inc. Saltwater Paddling Guides are also available for a $5.00 donation to the Aquatic Preserve Society, Inc. Inquire if you're interested!
