Please join us for a public meeting to learn more about the ongoing public consultation to cut library hours and close four community libraries as well as our campaign to save libraries. Our meeting will include poetry celebrating libraries and prose informing supporters of our previous successful campaign to save libraries and gather support for our ongoing fight to save them again.We welcome the support of Henry Normal who will open our meeting with a short performance. Our meeting will close with another short poetry performance from local poets supporting of our campaign.
We WELCOME and ENCOURAGE you to bring children to all of our events including the meeting.
We would love to see children (and adults!) join in at our craft table to write a few words or draw a few pictures to show what libraries mean to you.
At the end of our meeting (weather permitting) we encourage any families present to make use of the fantastic play space outside the library and will be providing pavement chalks to continue the drawing and writing celebrating libraries and communities outside.
