We are tremendously grateful for each of you who have entered our doors and entered our hearts.

We started teaching group fitness in 2011 and we opened DFC's doors in 2017. Now, in 2026, we face the struggle of keeping our doors open for all of you due to several factors including the current economy, inflation, cost of rent, flooding and member participation.

We have tried avoiding raising our prices for you guys, but we have come to the point where we either close or meet membership pricing to match closer to today's economic climate in order to continue to provide this community we love with a safe space for mental health, wellness and joy.

Due to these financial hardships, waiting for members to return since the pandemic, investing in instructors, and having to replace the floors from flooding in recent years, we have fallen behind in rent and face eviction if we cannot become current come April. Our immediate goal by April is $4500 with our longterm goal come May ending in at least $9000. Unfortunately we cannot wait any longer for hopes of government assistance or non-profit funding to be granted to us as it won't be granted in time. We need to act now in asking our community to stand beside us and help lift us up as we have once helped lift you.

Our doors will be closing soon in the matter of weeks unless we can fundraise collectively to keep DFC's doors open for you and the community. Dance Fitness Collaboration is as important to us as it has been for all of you. We are so grateful to have met all of you and to have helped play a role in your physical and mental wellbeing. We hope to be able to continue being that safe space and light for you all.

We believe we can remain open with all of your help. We can accomplish this by fundraising within the month. And we plan to assure this won't be sprung on us again by adjusting our pricing.

Our new pricing will reflect for new members immediately and we will transition current memberships over the coming weeks. Our Punch Card system will range from $10/12/15 per class for the 20 / 10 / 5 class punch cards. A regular class drop-in for Zumba will be $20 matching Trapeze Yoga. Our UNLIMITED class membership will be $100 while still being a value at less than $3 per class in a total month. Senior/Student/Military discount of 20% will still be offered for new membership pricing.

For our current members and future, we will have to adjust the charge date to the 1st of the month for when the membership comes out; we apologize as we know many of you are used to your membership coming out throughout the month. Changing the due date will help us remain in good standing with the landlord.

Part of our fundraising other than direct donations are that we are planning to host a Master Class Sunday March 22nd and a possible Salsa Social Saturday evening of March 28th.

If you have been waiting to return to class once you feel "ready", we are realistically telling you now so you’re not surprised — we will most likely not be around unless we can collectively raise funds to become current. We hope to see old faces come back! If distance is an issue, we still offer virtual classes.

Whether you're a current member or someone we once made smile, your donation will mean the world to us and to the lives we touch on a weekly basis. If you wish to do more, please let us know your level of involvement; we truly appreciate it.

We have had hundreds dance with us, sweat with us, squat with us and HEYYY with us... And we hope the hundreds we have seen come through our doors over the years can come back to the DFC community.
