Sausage Sodas and Onion Bhajis takes you way back before the Good Friday Agreement to the 1980s, and into the world of this sassy teenage Indian girl, born in Newtownards, reared in Belfast during the height of the Troubles!
Expect laughs, nostalgia, and perhaps a few tears along the way, as this plucky young girl with her wee Indian bake (in Lata’s words), boldly embarks on her journey of trying to 'fit in' back in the 80s with her local mates, whilst duckin’ and divin’ around the Orange and Green sectarianism, the racism, and not least, withstanding the wrench of cultural clashes from within her own home and community.
