Join us on Saturdays to enjoy a live DJ during brunch at Boxyard RTP! Wind down, grab some food and drinks from our vendors and enjoy SATURDAZE, a mix of electric vibes to help you get into that weekend groove.Our musical performances happen rain or shine under our covered Pavilion on the BeatBox stage. In the event of extreme weather, such as flooding, ice or lightning, performances will be canceled. Follow us on Instagram for updates on time changes or cancelations.
This Week’s DJ: Kai Riedl
Kai Ried is a director, programmer and producer of music and technology events; he is the former executive producer of Moogfest as well as the founder and director of Slingshot festival in Durham, NC. Kai is a founding member of the band Macha, a group known for their Asian-influenced abstract rock, and his interest in Asian music has brought him to Java, Indonesia multiple times where he has recorded hundreds of tracks of traditional music. Working both solo and with dozens of electronic artists, Riedl has remixed and reimagined those recordings with synths, bleeps, bloops, percussives and much more to create ethno-futuristic soundscapes while creatively connecting the two regions. His sets and performances will feature original and curated works including reshaped field recordings, abstract dance music, organic/electronic music, abstract pop, and a variety of selections from around the globe.
Covid Precautions:
– Boxyard RTP is an open-air facility that will continue to follow in accordance with all Covid-19 regulations put in place by Durham County. Masks are optional at Boxyard, but individual vendor policies may vary. We recommend bringing a mask with you. Stay kind to those who choose to still wear one.
– In addition to regular cleanings, hand sanitizer stations are provided throughout our facility.
– Our tables are spaced out, so you do not feel right on top of your neighbor.
