Ever want to learn how to make a quilt block that isn’t precise and perfect? Then improvisational quilting is for you! In this meditative series, learn how to randomly piece fabric to create a one-of-a-kind design. Classes are geared toward people who have limited sewing experience, but a lot of great ideas. What you need to know:
Participants are asked to bring their own sewing machine, fabric stash, and thread. Irons, cutting mats, rotary cutters, and scissors provided.
There will be a limited number of machines available to those without. Please note in the registration if you need access to a sewing machine. We will accommodate as many as we can.
The only prerequisite is that participants must know how to comfortably use a sewing machine.
In addition to learning improv techniques, attendees will be encouraged to swap fabrics at the event to enhance their work.
It will be a relaxing Saturday, creating art with friends and new friends. There will be a limited number of spaces, so registration is required.
Due to the time of day of the classes, participants are encouraged to bring snacks and beverages.
If you're just planning to observe, feel free to attend without registering. You can still participate in the fabric stash swap!
