Saturday Morning Live! Presents: Groovy Nate®

About the Show
Get in the groove with Groovy Nate! Groovy Nate® is a Grammy nominated children’s entertainer, and Teaching Artist, who creates fun and educational shows using exotic musical instruments, comedy, and puppet skits— a la Sesame Street meets Parliament/Funkadelic.

Time and Place
Performances will take place on Saturday, March 8th at 9:30am and 11am in the Helen Hayes Gallery of The National Theatre located at 1321 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20004.

Tickets and Donations
Please reserve tickets to the 9:30 AM or 11 AM performance. Registration is FREE but donations are welcome. In the event of a sellout, please feel free to join the waitlist; we also accept walk-ups, pending the availability of space.

Audience
This performance is ideal for ages 3-6, but everyone is welcome!

Accessibility
This performance will be ASL-interpreted. The space is wheelchair accessible.

About the Artist
Groovy Nate is a Grammy nominated artist with the One Tribe Collective. His shows incorporate vocals, guitar, electronics, and percussion to encourage children and adults to move, sing, and play creatively with one another. As a teaching artist, Groovy Nate has worked with Wolf Trap, the Kennedy Center, and the Educational Theatre Company. Prior to working as a children's performer and Teaching Artist, he founded the underground soul band, Oktbrwrld (October World). They worked from 1997-2006, producing four albums, winning The Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) award four times, as well as having two songs featured in the 2007 motion picture, "Cougar Club".
