A History of Advocacy and Change

The Rainbow PUSH Coalition, founded in 1996 through the merger of Operation PUSH and the National Rainbow Coalition, has been a beacon of hope and change for decades.

• Operation PUSH (est. 1971): Fighting for economic justice, educational opportunities, and community empowerment since 1971.
• National Rainbow Coalition (est. 1984): Uniting a coalition of people to use their resources to move beyond racial battle ground to economic common ground and on to moral higher ground.

Together, Rainbow PUSH has championed critical causes such as voting rights, healthcare access, and education reform, shaping a legacy of resilience and hope.
