Course Description
Goldsmiths Confucius Institute will be offering a series of Saturday classes to children of all ages in order to offer a taste of Chinese culture. Weekend courses include YCT Mandarin and Chinese dance classes. All courses run for 5 weeks.
Entry Level
If you have studied Chinese before and are not a continuing student, you must be assessed to confirm your level prior to enrolment. Assessment is a free informal session with one of our Mandarin teachers.

Course Content and TimingSaturday 10:00 - 10:45
YCT Beginners Mandarin Class - £50
The content of the course is according to the new primary and middle school students' Chinese test (YCT) teaching material. This course will offer students study of Chinese systematically. It can also help students to study towards YCT and HSK certificates.
The beginner's class is aimed at students aged 5 years and above.
Saturday 11:00 - 11:45
YCT Intermediate Mandarin Class - £50
The content of the course is according to the new primary and middle school students' Chinese test (YCT) teaching material. This course will offer students the study of Chinese systematically. It can also help students to study towards YCT and HSK certificates.
The intermediate class is aimed at students who have been studying Mandarin for several terms.
Saturday 11:00 - 11:30
Children Dance Class 1 - £40
Students will be taught in line with the Beijing Dance Academy children's dance materials. This course also combines dance with Chinese songs and Chinese traditional etiquette education to give children a fun and well-rounded experience of the difference between cultures.
Saturday 12:00 - 12:30
Children Dance Class 2 - £40
Students will be taught in line with the Beijing Dance Academy children's dance materials. This course also combines dance with Chinese songs and Chinese traditional etiquette education to give children a fun and well-rounded experience of the difference between cultures.
