This is a 4-week block of classes focusing on beautiful enamels on different metals. It is open for beginners.The course starts Sat 7 March and runs for 4 weeks till Sat 28 March till 8 Feb, 10am-1pm.
Create textured pendants or earrings, or a more complex art project, and apply transparent glass enamels to your piece with great results!
Beginners in metalwork will be shown how to apply textures and small alterations to the pieces using either hammers or roll-printed textures before prepping the metal for the glass enamel.
Those with some metalwork experience can take on a more advanced textured piece.
The course fee covers enamel materials but NOT metals. Students can choose from a range of pre-cut copper blanks or use their own copper sheet. Findings are available to purchase at a range of good prices to suit all budgets.
Kids aged 12 (or so) are welcome to attend the class, but any person under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an enrolled parent or caregiver.
Course fee $285, Early bird $257 till 8 February.
