Saturday Art Club for ages 7-11: Standing For the River

Stanley Picker Gallery is excited to continue running our popular Art Club for children ages 7-11 from our local community who are enthusiastic about art and design. Workshops are FREE for all and run most Saturdays, 11am-12.30pm.

Participants will engage in creative exercises and a rehearsal of the performance in our upcoming event, Standing For the River. This event is happening on the 12th of June, please note attendance for this is not necessary to book onto this session, although we would love to see you (and the whole family!) there.

All sessions are led by a team of Kingston School of Art students and alumni, and will complement the gallery’s exciting Spring/Summer exhibition, A Simultaneous Agreement featuring the work of artist duo and Stanley Picker Fellows FRAUD.

Please note that some of our sessions will be taking place at the nearby Hogsmill Community Garden. Please meet at the gallery before and after these sessions.

Clothing Occasionally, activities can be messy. We do our best with cover ups and water-based resources, but please ensure your child is dressed appropriately.

Gallery Location & Accessibility Stanley Picker Gallery is an accessible venue, situated on a small island on the Hogsmill River, behind Kingston School of Art. Access via Mill Street, or from Portland Road, look for signage to Middle Mill Halls of Residence and the gallery. We have free onsite parking via Portland Road.

Sensory bags and visual stories are available upon request and additionally, we run regular SEND-only events. Staff are DBS checked and a First Aider is onsite at all times.
