Satellite of Love Poetry and Spoken Word run monthly events, workshops and writing retreats. Our monthly events at the Loco Klub offer a platform for local and touring poets, open mic and our Community Poem.

How the slam works:
The slam is broken up into three stages; The Opening Round of 15; the Semi Finals; the Final.
The Opening Round will be broken up in to 5 heats of 3. The winner of each heat plus the highest scoring runner up will go through to the Semi Finals.
The Semi Finals are 2 heats of 3. The winner of each plus highest scoring runner up will go through to the Final.
The highest scoring poet in the Final wins.
