Ein Highlight, das Gitarrenfans nicht verpassen dürfen: Im Sommer 2025 vereinen sich zwei der größten Gitarrenikonen aller Zeiten – Joe Satriani und Steve Vai – und präsentieren erstmals ihre neu gegründete SatchVai Band. Exklusiv und einmalig werden sie im Juli in München, Düsseldorf und Frankfurt die Bühnen zum Beben bringen.
Eine historische Premiere: Zum ersten Mal in ihren fast 50-jährigen musikalischen Karrieren haben die Gitarrenikonen Joe Satriani und Steve Vai als künstlerische Weggefährten von Stunde null an eine gemeinsame Band gegründet, deren Name Programm ist. Der Bandname „SatchVai“ vereint die Spitznamen und Signaturen beider Künstler: „Satch“, Satrianis weltbekannter Spitzname, und Steve „Vai“, dessen ikonische Gitarre mit drei Hälsen gleichzeitig auch Inspiration für den Tournee-Titel „Surfing with the Hydra“ liefert. Fans werden darin sofort eine Hommage an Satrianis Klassiker „Surfing with the Alien“ erkennen.
Die Performance von SatchVai auf der Tournee 2025 verspricht also das Beste vom Besten der beiden Gitarrengötter, die jeweils mit Millionen von verkauften Solo-Alben längst den E- Gitarrenolymp erreicht haben.
Tickets für die SatchVai Band Konzerte 2025 in Deutschland gibt es ab dem 13.12.2024 (für München ab dem 11.12.2024) auf myticket.de und an den bekannten Vorverkaufsstellen.
Das Duo tourte im Frühjahr 2024 erstmals außerhalb des legendären G3-Formats und beschloss, dass es an der Zeit ist, eine gemeinsame Band zu gründen. Dieses erfolgreiche Konzept bringen sie 2025 mit der SatchVai Band in Europa auf die Bühne.
Die musikalische Freundschaft von Joe Satriani und Steve Vai währt bereits fast fünf Jahrzehnte. Ihre erste gemeinsame Zusammenarbeit wurde im März 2024 mit dem Song „The Sea of Emotion, Pt. 1“ gefeiert. In dem Stück offenbart sich die unvergleichliche Synergie der beiden Gitarristen, die sich in dem fast sechsminütigen Stück mit virtuosen Soli überbieten. Eine zweite Zusammenarbeit wird kurz vor der Europatour veröffentlicht und sorgt für noch mehr Vorfreude auf diese epischen Konzerte.
Joe Satriani: „Die SatchVai Band Tour wird Realität! Ich freue mich unglaublich darauf, wieder mit Steve die Bühne zu teilen. Jedes Mal, wenn wir zusammen spielen, fühle ich mich in unsere Teenagerjahre zurückversetzt, als wir jede Sekunde des Tages mit Musik verbrachten, uns gegenseitig herausforderten und uns gegenseitig unterstützten, unser Bestes zu geben. Ich glaube, wir haben damit nie aufgehört!“
Steve Vai: „Mit Joe auf Tour zu sein, ist immer ein Vergnügen und eine Ehre. Er ist mein Lieblingsgitarrist, mit dem ich jammen kann, und jetzt haben wir wieder die Gelegenheit, das gemeinsam auf die Bühne zu bringen. A highlight that guitar fans should not miss: In summer 2025, two of the greatest guitar icons of all time - Joe Satriani and Steve Vai - will reunite to present their newly formed SatchVai Band for the first time. Exclusively and uniquely, they will be shaking up the stages in Munich, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt in July.
A historic premiere: for the first time in their almost 50-year musical careers, guitar icons Joe Satriani and Steve Vai have formed a band together as fellow artists from the very beginning, and the name says it all. The band name “SatchVai” combines the nicknames and signatures of both artists: “Satch”, Satriani's world-famous nickname, and Steve “Vai”, whose iconic guitar with three necks also provides the inspiration for the tour title “Surfing with the Hydra”. Fans will immediately recognize this as an homage to Satriani's classic “Surfing with the Alien”.
SatchVai's performance on the 2025 tour therefore promises the best of the best from the two guitar gods, who have each reached the electric guitar Olympus with millions of solo albums sold.

The duo toured outside the legendary G3 format for the first time in spring 2024 and decided it was time to form a band together. They will bring this successful concept to the stage in Europe in 2025 with the SatchVai Band.
The musical friendship between Joe Satriani and Steve Vai has lasted almost five decades. Their first collaboration together was celebrated in March 2024 with the song “The Sea of Emotion, Pt. 1”. The track reveals the incomparable synergy of the two guitarists, who outdo each other with virtuoso solos in the almost six-minute piece. A second collaboration will be released shortly before the European tour, creating even more anticipation for these epic concerts.
Joe Satriani: “The SatchVai Band Tour is becoming a reality! I'm incredibly excited to be sharing the stage with Steve again. Every time we play together I feel transported back to our teenage years when we spent every second of the day playing music, challenging each other and supporting each other to do our best. I don't think we ever stopped doing that!”
Steve Vai: “Being on tour with Joe is always a pleasure and an honor. He's my favorite guitarist to jam with, and now we have the opportunity to bring that to the stage together again. I feel like we're both at the peak of our art, and the show will be a powerful celebration of the coolest instrument in the world - the electric guitar!”
