Ernest Aines, a Melbourne-based Australian Folk Artist of the Year 2023 nominee, garnered critical acclaim for his album "Spiral Bound," lauded by Rhythms Magazine as "universal, borderless, and timeless." Critics hailed its depth, labeling it "breathtaking" and affirming Aines as a "contemporary master of the folk music form." Ernest’s journey began with busking on the streets of Melbourne. It progressed to him playing celebrated Festivals like The Port Fairy Folk Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, The Blue Mountains Folk Festival, Nannup Music Festival and more. His indie-folk styling and unique vocal delicacy have been compared to James Taylor, Jeff Buckley, Ray Lamontagne, Bon Iver, and on more recent releases Nick Drake.
