The first for The South Arkansas Symphony – an Opera. The South Arkansas Symphony and South Arkansas Arts Center will be performing Hansel and Gretel. This Opera was first conducted in 1893 and has been performed around the world.From their broom-maker’s home to the forest of danger, the children lose their way. The dream of angels, the gingerbread house, and then the Dew Fairy awakens the children. The Witch goes into action and children save the day when the oven explodes. Life back in their home and forest is peaceful again.
