Join us for the 23rd session of the Syracuse Actors Studio on Monday, January 12th, 2025 7-10PM, which will be ACTING CAREER MASTERCLASS with Valorie Hubbard!Valorie Hubbard is the CEO of Actor’s Fast Track, where she teaches working actors how to stop waiting and start booking. A career strategist, Hollywood veteran, and unapologetic industry rule-breaker, Valorie helps actors treat their careers like the businesses they truly are—powerful, profitable, and in their own control. Her on-screen credits include Castle, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., How I Met Your Mother, True Blood, Glee, Workaholics, American Horror Story, The Hannah Montana Movie, Resident Evil: Extinction, and appearances across virtually every Disney show. She’s also starred in major theater productions, motion-capture video games, and national commercials—including her current campaign with Jon Hamm for BetMGM. Valorie lives in Irvington, New Jersey with her husband, Chef Gill Boyd, and their dog Gracie—still out here changing the game for actors everywhere. Our own Laura Stisser has been a client of Valorie’s for years and has excelled in her acting career because of all of her advice and guidance.
Valorie will be here IN PERSON to give us her ACTING CAREER MASTERCLASS! She will share lessons she’s learned in a professional presentation that have been valuable from years as a professional actor.
In order to have the full experience of the masterclass, we’ve limited performances for this SAS only: we will feature just a scene by Anqi Geng & Joe Cunningham. We will be looking for additional actors to volunteer to perform monologues or scenes in FUTURE SASes, but not this one. (Contact Joe if interested [email protected], and send a headshot for promo- if you are interested in performing for Feb/March sessions.)
And as always, at the end we will have a small amount of time for announcements if anyone wants to plug a show, announce casting, or the like; with time after to network and socialize.
We will of course have SAS After Hours with Jay Merante of Jay Merante Comedy, please like & subscribe! It’s always a lot of fun and we encourage anyone who wants to stay after to join in the improv comedy to do so. Jay is also open to ideas for skits from actors.
SAS is held in the McCarthy Mercantile, the lower level of Wildflowers Armory! The address is 217 South Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13202: on the corner of South Salina and East Fayette, right in the Heart of Downtown Syracuse. Wildflowers is closed Mondays, so we will enter through Jamaica Cuse, a Caribbean Restaurant that shares the same building. We will have a sign out front and Joe will be there in the beginning to welcome everyone and steer traffic.
We will as always have a hat out for donations. Half of the donations go to our host, and half to SAS for supplies.

We will meet at 7PM at Wildflowers lower level/The McCarthy Mercantile to socialize until we begin. Someone will be at the front entrance to greet you approx. 6:30/45 PM until around 7:15. Anyone lost, or if you need assistance or an escort, please call/text Joe Cunningham 315-863-9407.
Street parking at this time is free after 6PM. Make sure to park where signage allows.
Syracuse Actors Studio is always a free monthly meetup for actors where we learn from and practice acting with each other. Actors of all experience levels are encouraged to attend! Filmmakers, writers, playwrights, producers, casting agents, and observers are welcome as well.
