Sarpa Salpa are back with a brand-new single ‘Dreaming’ on Friday 6th May. ‘Dreaming’ follows their 2 recent singles ‘Your House’ (Nov 21) & ‘Somebody’ (Jan 22) which saw huge radio support from Jack Saunders (Future Artists) and Clara Amfo (Future Sounds) on BBC Radio 1 well as from BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, Radio X (X-Posure Playist) and the Student Radio Association Network.
Fresh off the back of their first USA dates, playing 8 shows in 5 days at the coveted SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas where they won over a whole host of new supporters in the industry including a mention in Billboard Magazine praising the bands fresh “indie disco” sound.
Now back in the UK, Sarpa Salpa hit the ground running with a sold-out show in their hometown of Northampton before a run of dates over the summer including The Great Escape, 110 Above Festival and fast selling headline shows in London, Manchester, and Bristol.
In what is set to be a very busy few months for Sarpa Salpa, the band are also heading back into the studio to finish their forthcoming EP due for release later this year.
Special guests for the evening are PHANTOM ISLE. Creating an innovative sound influenced by 90s Acid House, Rock and Industrial, topped with Marchant's vocals which are often compared with singers such as Suede's Brett Anderson and Muse’s Matt Bellamy.
The band's recent singles, 'MAR V', 'Whip' and ‘Figures’ received masses of support from BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music and have featured in hit TV shows such as Channel 4's Made In Chelsea. BBC Introducing in Northampton presenter Kerrie Cosh recently showcased the band on BBC Asian Network, describing them as one of the most incredible acts from the county. The band return with a brand new 90s-videogame-inspired EP, ‘Out Of Blue’
Opening up proceedings is St Peters Dream an indie rock/pop band from Reading, UK. The band’s music has been described as “stadium ready” and “anthemic”. The band are set to build on their fast growing fan base in 2021.
