Join us for Sarau Arts Hub, a vibrant and enriching 10-week program where you'll have the chance to immerse yourself in traditional Brazilian dance styles and body expression classes. This unique program is designed to bring the lively culture of Brazil to the heart of Adelaide.
Program Details:

What You Will Learn:
Traditional Brazilian Dance Styles: Experience the rhythm and energy of Brazil through a variety of traditional dances.
Body Expression Classes: Enhance your dance skills and body awareness through expressive movement.
Brazilian Theatrical Folklore: Participate in 5 specialized classes exploring the rich traditions of Brazilian folklore.
Instructors:
Talita Fontainha: A seasoned dancer and choreographer renowned for her fusion of Brazilian styles with contemporary dance. Talita brings her extensive experience and passion to every class, ensuring an engaging and educational experience.
Andréa Rabelo: Since 2001, Andréa Rabelo has been working professionally as an artist in Brazil, performing in contemporary and classical theatre, clowning, circus arts, tap dancing, capoeira, and singing. Currently a PhD student, her education includes a Master's Degree in Performing Arts and a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Interpretation from UFBA. Andréa will lead the Brazilian theatrical folklore classes.
Eligibility and Fees:
Free Admission: Residents of the City of Adelaide, people who work in the city, international students, and individuals aged 18 to 24.
Admission Fee: $10 per class for all other participants.
Open Level: Suitable for participants aged 16 and above, from beginners to advanced dancers.
Special Highlight:
At the end of the 10-week program, we aim to host a "Sarau," a Brazilian cultural event that celebrates artistic expression. This will be a wonderful opportunity for participants to showcase what they've learned and share their creativity with the community.
