Sarah Politte

With a voice described as "smooth as melting chocolate" Sarah Politte breathes new life into the timeless classics of the Great American Songbook. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Sarah is a two-time All-State Jazz Vocalist rooted in the tradition of legends like Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald. She blends a modern charm with the professional precision and classic style of a seasoned jazz vocalist.
Sarah has performed alongside jazz greats Wycliffe Gordon, Lori Mechem, Dave Dickey, Steve Weist, Chip McNeill, and Allen Vizzutti. She has recorded with the fabulous Marina Albero, Amina Scott, Bryant Watson, and Max Bronstein.
Specializing in the Golden Age of Broadway, her sets feature beloved standards such as "My Funny Valentine”, "Someone to Watch Over Me," and "Misty." She also finds Brazilian jazz especially fun to perform. Sarah draws her influences from Ladies of Song Julie London and June Christy, she also finds inspiration in the cool style of Chet Baker and "The Velvet Fog" Mel Tormé, bringing a established and genuine point of view to romantic lyrics.
Whether appearing in a full big band ensemble or performing in an intimate duo, Sarah Politte remains dedicated to preserving and evolving this uniquely American art form. She is currently booking gigs both nationally and internationally. Her new EP, recorded at Marigny Studios in New Orleans and produced by Justin Armstrong, will be released in late-summer 2026!
