------
Sarah De Vallière & the Rhythmwell have electrified the regional scene with high-energy performances, elite musicianship, and De Vallière’s commanding stage presence. Their sound—at once reminiscent of Joni Mitchell’s intimate storytelling and the jazz-twinged rock ’n’ roll hustle of Bruce Hornsby—converts audiences one show at a time, moving seamlessly from ethereal whispers to explosive, funky grooves.
Defying easy classification, De Vallière is a Berklee College of Music alumna with a degree in Film Scoring. This background allows her to craft lush, cinematic soundscapes that explore the complexities of the human experience. Her journey as a storyteller reached a pivotal turning point with the 2019 release Dreams On Hold, establishing her as a significant voice in the modern singer-songwriter landscape.
On stage, the Rhythmwell acts as a high-octane extension of Sarah’s vision. The chemistry is palpable: Mark Balestra provides the harmonic backbone with tasteful licks and explosive solos; Brad Johnson anchors the sound with funk-infused, hard-hitting bass; and Emmett Ientilucci brings a surgeon’s precision to the drums, unleashing grooves that keep audiences on their toes. The collective is frequently bolstered by powerhouse vocalist Janine Mercandetti and Rochester Music Hall of Fame inductee Bill Tiberio, whose soulful saxophone adds layers of warmth and jazz-inflected grit.

Katie Haverly
Katie Haverly is a singer-songwriter “alt-rock polymath” who creates a joyous mesh of soulful pop, jazz, folk, and rock in her passionate live performances. Her music pierces the veil between 1960s and 70s Laurel Canyon ingenuity and modern-day indie magic, twisting and turning between Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, and The War on Drugs in equal measure. After living in such diverse locales as Colorado, Chicago, North Carolina, Albany, Tucson, and now Rochester, Katie's music displays a wealth of passion, living and maturity. Her songs map the human heart with an understated, but undeniable intensity topped with Katie's languid, yet fierce vocal ability and an impressive lyrical facility.
