About this Event

Sarah Cailean presents: Hellions on the High Seas

Stories of Nefarious Nauticals and Maritime M**der

While legends spoke of unseen sea creatures stirring in the deep, very real monsters

moved amongst sailors on ships, hunted and haunted lighthouses, and stalked the

docks. Join us for an evening of true crime tales from distant-- and not so distant--

past in the seafaring world, presented by Sarah Cailean. There will be talk of killers,

both infamous and obscure cases, and attendees will even get to play trivia and try to

win prizes. If you’re into true crime podcasts and TV specials, this is a must-see!

Sarah Cailean is a former police officer and detective who’s now an independent

consultant for cold case homicides and disappearances, specializing in cases involving

serial predators. She serves as a crime correspondent for numerous national news

outlets, produces documentaries about cases she is investigating and is currently the

host of Why Can’t We Talk About Amanda’s Mom?, an 8-part investigative podcast

series for Discovery ID. In addition to her current work with the Mobile County

Sheriff’s Office, Sarah hosts a series of true crime lecture events all over the country.

Sarah works and researches with the legendary first-generation profilers of the FBI, has

presented at conventions and spoken on panels with John Douglas, Paul Holes, Amanda

Knox, and many others.
