Beloved graphic novelist and cookbook illustrator Sarah Becan is coming back to Challengers to celebrate the release of LET'S MAKE BREAD! A Comic Book Cookbook! We love bread and we love Sarah even more, so this event is 1000% for us! And for YOU!!
And what would a signing about bread be without actual bread?!? No promises, but it sure would be great to have some bread on hand for this tasty event!
Sarah will be at Challengers on Saturday, May 18th, from Noon to 2pm.

ABOUT SARAH BECAN
Sarah Becan is a comics artist, author, illustrator and designer, and the creator of “I Think You’re Sauceome”, a food-centric autobiographical webcomic.
Her work has appeared in various publications, including Saveur Magazine, Eater.com, Chicago Magazine, The Chicago Reader, TruthOut.com, and Tasting Table. She was awarded a Xeric Award and a Stumptown Trophy for Outstanding Debut for her first graphic novel, The Complete Ouija Interviews, and her work has twice been nominated for the Ignatz Award.
Becan’s second graphic novel, Shuteye, was released in early 2012. In 2014, she wrote and illustrated Luna de Cuernos, a long form graphic story for Fifth House Ensemble’s spring 2014 concert series.
Becan illustrated the cookbook The Adventures of Fat Rice, published 2016 by Ten Speed Press, and is the co-author and illustrator of Let’s Make Ramen!, published July 2019, and Let’s Make Dumplings!, published June 2021, both from Ten Speed Press.
