Cajun raised in a cowboy town, Sara Douga is country music.While capturing audiences of all ages, Douga is a beacon of light for traditional country music lovers and has been credited for having a real and timeless sound.
Before moving to Nashville in 2019, Douga self-released her debut record; Boots, Bras, and Drawers which was quickly recognized by Country Music People Magazine and BBC Radio. While still fairly new to town, Douga’s heroes have already taken notice. Her first cut as a songwriter came from the legendary Jim Lauderdale on his country album, From Another World, which launched Douga straight into the spotlight at The Grand Ole Opry Stage. Lauderdale has since recorded five of his and Douga’s co-written songs.
In 2023 Douga had her first chart-topping success as a songwriter with Australian rock legend, Ella Hooper, on her latest record, Small Town Temple, which debuted at Number 1 on the ARIA Country Charts as well as Number 1 on iTunes Rock Charts. Douga helped pin the title track, "Small Town Temple", and the first single "Old News"; a song revealing the deep truths of Ella's story.
Kristen Foreman, from Carencro
Being from the heart of Cajun Country, She was exposed to a rich culture and early on in life, those close to her knew she was destined for a career in the music industry. Recently, Kristen released her very first Single "Southern Belle". A sassy song which Foreman penned herself. Although those around her knew all along that young Ms. Foreman would be musical, She didn't know for herself until she was a freshman in college. She was at a local Lafayette establishment watching local singers. When the opportunity came knocking on her door. They asked her to sing, What happened next some would call, destiny. The crowd was small, maybe three or four patrons, but the connection was strong. Kristen would continue to sit in with them throughout her college years.
Eventually branching out on her own to start performing as a true solo artist. 2015 saw the dawn of a new chapter in music with the release of "Southern Belle" Kristen Started to branch out playing shows from Lafayette to Nashville, and everywhere in between. With her biggest Passion being songwriting, you can hear her influences all over her music. Everything from her favorite artist Lee Ann Womack to her favorite songwriter Jamey Johnson. All mixed into one package called Kristen Foreman. What we have learned is Kristen Foreman is as Country as it comes, a soulful singer that you should fall in love with. Kristen graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Marketing in December of 2015. She looks forward to meeting all those who support her as well as meeting new people at every show.
