Join the Sons of the American Revolution for the SAR Showcase 250 Celebration on Saturday, July 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Independence Mall in Philadelphia.
As America commemorates its 250th anniversary, the SAR Showcase will offer a full day of educational programs, living history, family activities, and special presentations celebrating the people and events that shaped our nation's founding.
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy main stage programs featuring Benjamin Franklin, performances by the Saint Andrews Bag Pipe Band, and presentations on the First Rhode Island Regiment. Meet noted authors Danielle Allen (*Our Declaration*), Emily Sneff (*When the Declaration Was News*), and Rob Skead (the *Revolutionary War Adventure Series*) during special talks and book signings.
Explore hands-on activities for all ages, including an Enlistment Station, Sign the Declaration Station, and an Education Station featuring presentations on the Patriot Chest, historic American flags, and colonial music.
Guests will also have the opportunity to experience a replica of George Washington's War Tent, presented by the Museum of the American Revolution.
Whether you're a lifelong student of history or introducing the next generation to America's founding story, the SAR Showcase 250 Celebration offers something for everyone.
Admission is free and open to the public.
