Sapphest: NYC's Premier Sapphic Play Festival

Sapphest in NYC's premier Sapphic play festival featuring six 10 minute plays, each piece is inspired by a classic sapphic pop song. Expect to see imaginative and diverse stories brought to life, each one drawing inspiration from iconic titles like "After Midnight" by Chappell Roan, "PYNK" by Janelle Monáe, "Pretty Girls" by Renee Rapp, and "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman.
Audiences will be invited to guess which classic sapphic pop song inspired each play, with all song titles listed in the playbill.
Produced by an all-Sapphic team, the festival features an outstanding lineup of plays written and directed by some of NYC’s hottest Sapphic playwrights and directors.
