What is this program all about?
This program enables children to select holiday gifts for their family and friends by themselves, so their purchases remain secret from those who would normally have to take them to a store. It is exciting for the children because they are really buying their own gifts, with proper assistance from adult volunteers but with no sales pressure. Students will be coming to shop at assigned class times so everyone will get a chance. Gifts range in price from $1 to $20, with a majority priced under $5. Some of the items which will be available are jewelry, toys, home accessories, sports, books, journals, etc.
This is not meant to be a fundraiser but a service provided by Grant Wood PTA for our families.
A letter to the students is also coming home, please review this with your child. We will also be sending home money control envelopes to be used the day of the sale. Look for these coming home the week before.

Please pick something up next time you’re out running errands and drop it off in the Grant Wood Office.
This workshop definitely takes the entire North Pole Village to operate, but it is probably the most energizing and exciting volunteer opportunity of the year! Don’t be shy, this is a great opportunity to meet and work with other Grant Wood parents.
