The City of Port Aransas is excited to announce its much-anticipated Santa in the Park celebration, an event filled with holiday joy for all ages. The festivities will take place at Roberts Point Park on Saturday, December 7th, beginning at 5:30 p.m.The evening will begin with the official lighting of the Community Christmas Tree, a dazzling centerpiece that will kick off the festivities with holiday cheer. Following the tree lighting, attendees can enjoy a variety of activities and entertainment throughout the evening.
Families will have the chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will be available for photos, creating lasting memories for all. Additionally, a special appearance by the Grinch will add a bit of mischievous fun to the festivities. Those who love a little friendly competition can participate in the Ugly Sweater Contest, with prizes awarded for the most creative and outlandish holiday outfits.
The event also includes opportunities to give back to the community. The EMS Toy Drive invites guests to bring toys for local children in need, while the Helping Hands Food Pantry Canned Food Drive encourages donations of non-perishable items to support families in the area during the holiday season.
For the younger attendees, there will be a craft station where children can make their own holiday creations, and a bounce house for hours of fun. Holiday-themed costumed characters will also be on hand to interact with guests, adding to the festive atmosphere.
A highlight of the evening will be the Love, Laughter, and Lights Holiday Show, a heartwarming performance that promises to entertain and spread holiday cheer.
Guests can also enjoy face painting and balloon art, which will be sure to delight children and adults alike. In addition, the talented students from Marlin Academy will take the stage for a special performance, adding to the celebration’s lively atmosphere.
Throughout the event, complimentary refreshments will be provided by the Port Aransas Tourism Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce, ensuring everyone stays refreshed and energized as they enjoy the evening’s festivities.
