Santa Cruz Latin Collective: delivers an exhilarating experience featuring a powerful percussion section, electrifying guitars and horns, and exceptional bilingual vocalists. At the helm are guitarist Oscar Estrella and Timbalero Jimmy Palafox, who have meticulously assembled an impressive lineup of talent that blends youthful exuberance with seasoned expertise. Oscar Estrella, originally from Cuba, grew up in the Mission District of San Francisco, where he immersed himself in the flourishing Latin rock movement. He is a proud member of Richard Bean’s MALO, a group co-founded by Jorge Santana, Carlos Santana’s younger brother. Meanwhile, Jimmy Palafox, a gifted percussionist from Santa Cruz, is also the founder of the well-regarded rock band New Horizons.
