Santa Clarita International Film Festival

It’s getting to be that time of the year… Yes, the Holidays, of course, but also the Santa Clarita International Film Festival will be taking over Main Street in Newhall Thursday December 8th through Sunday December 11th. Hundreds of films will be screened throughout the weekend at Laemmle Theatre, while live performances are happening simultaneously across the street at our Comedy and Music Venue.

Opening Night Ceremonies Thur 12/8

The Laemmle Theatre courtyard is going to be the place to be on Thurs 12/8 as we kick off the opening ceremonies to the Santa Clarita International Film Festival. This red carpet event will be hosted by Kermet Apio from NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and feature music from DJ Switch, as well as an appearance from celebrity Kelly Packard Privett from Baywatch and California Dreams. Comedy & Music Kickoff Fri 12/9

Don’t miss the official kickoff to the comedy and music portion of SCIFF live December 9th from 7pm to 11pm at the Newhall American Legion w/ live performances from Kelly’s Lot, Dead Romantics, Kayley Stallings, Scott Silbor, D’Wilifri DanceArt and Entertainment, DJ Switch and many more!

SCIFF Screening Block and Q&A Friday 12/9 - 7pm

Three incredible short films will be screening in the SCIFF Friday night block at Laemmle Theater. Up first from Director Michael v. Greene is "Vaccinate Watts", followed by "The War Against Our Schools" from Director Mikey Cordero, and finally "Clothed Minds" by Director Carletta S. Hunt. Immediately following the screenings will be a Q&A panel moderated by Ray Walker of the Stokes Foundation, featuring some of the team members behind "Vaccinate Watts", including VaccinateLA Team Leader Dr. Allison Orechwa, Dr. Jerry Abraham from Kedren Vaccines in South LA, the casting director of the "We Can Stop This" PSA campaign, Paul Sinacore, as well as Director Michael v. Greene. You don't want to miss this film block!
