Santa at Somerset Rural Life Museum 2025

Santa’s elves will guide you to the cosy farmhouse kitchen, where Santa will be waiting ready to greet you. Join Santa by the fire, tell him your Christmas wishes and then each child will receive a special gift.

After your Santa visit*, you will have exclusive access to the museum, so explore at your own pace. Follow our Christmas Reindeer Trail and win yourself a treat! At the end of your visit, make a Christmas decoration to take home with you. Pop into the Grain Store Café, only open to Santa ticket holders and try some local, festive refreshments.

Your ticket allows up to four children to see Santa - please select the relevant ticket for the number of children in your group. Your ticket includes a special gift for each child. Please note the grotto is very small so it is a maximum of one family at a time to see Santa.

*Normal entrance fee applies. Please note each member of your party will also need to pay the museum entry fee, even if they are not seeing Santa. Guests with a Museum Unlimited Pass are welcome to use it for this event.

A visit to Santa is a very special experience with no two visits the same, and will vary according to how chatty the children are. You should expect the experience to last between 5 and 10 minutes. We do try to run to time, but occasionally we may get a little bit behind, but this is usually by no more than 10 minutes maximum. The time slot shows as 15 minutes, which is just to allow things to run smoothly. Please arrive for the start of your time slot, as latecomers may not be able to be admitted.
