Sankta Lucia Concert with Swedish choir Adolf Fredrik's Chamber Choir

The award-winning Adolf Fredriks Chamber Choir from Stockholm returns to Christ Church Cathedral for their annual Sankta Lucia concert.

The Sankta Lucia celebration represents one of the foremost cultural traditions in Sweden, celebrating light in the winter darkness and heralding the arrival of Christmas.

Included will be the Choir's acclaimed performance of "From Darkness to Light": the lighting is extinguished, the singers - dressed in black and scarcely visible in the gloom - are dispersed throughout the ancient church, all the while singing beautiful music in thrilling harmony. This develops towards the traditional Lucia procession, illuminated by candles.

A magical experience of magnificent music, this evening has become a sell-out fixture of the Christmas season.

Premium ticket holders will be seated in the nave of the cathedral, and will be invited to an exclusive reception in the crypt after the concert.

Doors open at 7.15pm, concert begins at 8pm sharp
