Komm und feiere den Sankt Martinstag mit uns! Genieße leckere Kekse, Getränke und einen Laternenumzug durch die Nachbarschaft, während wir traditionelle St. Martinslieder singen. Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos, und alle sind herzlich willkommen - lade gerne auch deine Freunde ein! Die Veranstaltung findet auf Deutsch mit englischer Übersetzung statt.
Im Sinne von St. Martin, der seinen Mantel mit einem Bettler teilte, werden wir auch dieses Jahr Spenden für bedürftige Menschen sammeln. Die Spenden kommen in diesem Jahr den SOS Community Services in Ypsilanti zugute. Bitte erwägt eine großzügig Spende. - Aus hygienischen Gründen können nur ungeöffnete Produkte gepsendet werden (Ausnahme sind Haushaltsartikel wie Pfannen, Besteck, o.ä.).
- Für Lebensmittel bitte keine Glasbehälter.
- Windeln und Feuchttücher sind besonders gefragt.
- Monetäre Spenden werden ebenfalls akzeptiert und sind zu 100% steuerlich absetzbar (https://soscs.org/)
Hinweise:
• Spenden Abgabe: Spenden können am 25. Oktober, 1. und 8. November, jeweils von 9:30 bis 12 Uhr, in der DSAA-Bibliothek (Zimmer #321) abgegeben werden. Spenden werden auch noch an der Veranstaltung angenommen.
• Laternenverkauf: 25. Oktober, 1. und 8. November, jeweils von 9:30 bis 12 Uhr, in der DSAA-Bibliothek (Zimmer #321). Bezahlung mit Venmo, bar oder mit Check.
• Vergesst nicht, eure Laternen, Taschenlampen und Liedblätter mitzubringen, damit ihr kräftig mitsingen könnt.
• Bitte beachten: An der Veranstaltung warden keine Toiletten zur Verfügung stehen.
• Wetter: Bei Regen müssen wir die Veranstaltung leider absagen.

Come and celebrate Saint Martin's Day with us! Enjoy delicious cookies, drinks, and a lantern parade through the neighborhood while we sing traditional German Saint Martin's songs. This event is free, and everyone is welcome - feel free to invite your friends!
In the spirit of St. Martin who shared his cloak with a beggar, we will be collecting donations for those in need. This year, donations will go to the SOS Community Services in Ypsilanti. - For pantry donations, please no glass containers.

Notes:
• Donation Drop Off: You can bring donations on October 25, November 1 & 8, from 9:30am to 12pm, to the DSAA Library (Room #321). Donations will also be accepted at the event.
• Lantern Sales: Pick up your lanterns on October 25, November 1 or 8, from 9:30am to 12pm in the DSAA Library (Room #321). Payment accepted via Venmo, cash, or check.
• Don’t forget to bring along your lanterns, flashlights, and song sheets so you can join in the singing!
• Please note: There will be no restrooms available at the event.
• Weather: If it rains, we will unfortunately have to cancel the event.
