Step into the roots of Bachata in this immersive Bachata Clásica workshop led by master instructor Armando Garcia. This class centers the original Dominican style of bachata—its musicality, footwork, timing, and soulful expression—honoring the dance as it was first danced in the barrios and social spaces of the Dominican Republic.
No partner required. Respect for the music and the culture strongly encouraged.
Armando guides dancers through foundational movements, partner connection, and rhythmic interpretation, emphasizing authenticity, simplicity, and feeling over flash. Participants will explore how the music informs movement, how subtle weight shifts and foot patterns create groove, and how bachata’s emotional storytelling lives in the body.
