SYNTHOTRONICA and CARL POLKE combine fat beats with fatter synths, and live vibes in a culmination of eclectic musical influences from all over - traditional and contemporary through to brass and circus bands melded with live electronica. Their upbeat performances feature Afrobeat, Balkan Beat, Ethio Jazz, Cumbia, Dub/Reggae, Electro Swing, Latin glitch-hop genres and more - in short "Wonkadelic Funk".
Synthotronica is ANIA REYNOLDS - a Sandy Favorite, with her live performances a culmination of the many different musical influences that have comprised her musical career to date, from traditional and contemporary music from around the globe to brass bands to circus bands to live electronica, and heavily inspired by her background in performing live scores for circus and theatre shows. CARL POLKE is an award winning composer/sound designer and musician/performer active within the theatre and circus industries for many years. He has works with many of Australia's leading companies at both national and international levels.
Together, these two troubadours have entertained lucky folk around the world including Europe, South East Asia, South America, Australia, and now right here in Sandringham Village - another free SSAP event and part of the 2024 Pre-Christmas Sandy Village celebrations.
