📋 Event Format
6:45 – 7:00 PM \| Check\-In & Welcome 👋🏽 (No worries if you have to arrive a little later. We will get you settled in!)
✅ Participants will check in at the Atlanta Spanish Immersion (ASI) table
and receive their name tag/sticker.
🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️ A member of our team will help seat them at their first conversation table.

7:00 – 8:30 PM \| Guided Conversation Rounds 🗣️💬
The event is divided into 20-minute conversation rounds.
Each round includes one half in English 🇺🇸 and the other half in Spanish 🇪🇸.

👥 Participants chat, place their food orders 🍽️, and rotate tables to interact with different people.

⚡ It’s important to dedicate each 10-minute segment of the round to the designated language so participants can practice both listening and speaking in either English or Spanish.

📚 According to a study by the University of Cambridge, engaging in dynamic, spontaneous conversations in a foreign language significantly improves speaking fluency and listening comprehension. The study highlights that real-life, unplanned conversations help learners process language faster and build confidence in using it in everyday situations.

Attendees can freely socialize, continue practicing both languages, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.

👉 There will always be an ASI facilitator guiding the event, rotating the groups, and making sure the schedule runs smoothly.

🧾 To support the restaurant staff, we’ll kindly ask attendees to provide their name when placing food orders to help with food service efficiency.

✅ Los participantes se registran en la mesa de Atlanta Spanish Immersion (ASI) y recibirán su etiqueta/pegatina con su nombre.

🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️ Un miembro de nuestro equipo los ubicará en su primera mesa de conversación.

7:00 – 8:30 PM \| Rondas Guiadas de Conversación 🗣️💬

El evento se divide en rondas de conversación de 20 minutos.
Cada ronda incluye una mitad en inglés 🇺🇸 y la otra en español 🇪🇸.
👥 Los participantes conversan, hacen sus pedidos de comida 🍽️ y rotan de mesa para interactuar con distintas personas.

⚡ Es importante dedicar cada segmento de 10 minutos al idioma asignado para que los participantes puedan practicar tanto la comprensión auditiva como la expresión oral en inglés o en español.

Los asistentes podrán socializar libremente, seguir practicando ambos idiomas o simplemente disfrutar del ambiente.

👉 Siempre habrá un facilitador de ASI guiando el evento, rotando los grupos y asegurando que el horario se cumpla correctamente.
