Sandhills Stroll Series: Birding for Beginners

Have you ever wanted to identify birds you see and hear when walking in the Woods? Join HWF’s Education & Grants Coordinator, Heather Levy, for a family-friendly stroll through the Woods to learn to identify some of the common birds in our region. We will walk at a slow pace over about 1.5 miles, taking plenty of breaks to watch for birds and other wildlife. Please bring binoculars if you have them, but don’t fret if you don’t! You will still have the opportunity to learn to identify birds by sound. This event is limited to the first 30 participants. Carpooling is highly encouraged.
