Sandford Art & Craft Fair is renowned for the variety of quality and local arts and crafts and as a busy and sociable annual fundraising community event which is now in its 40th year!
Each year there are 33 stalls selling local art, crafts and handmade gifts, generally including glass, pottery, basket, wood and metal work, textiles, paintings, drawings, prints and cards, lots of different jewellery, handmade soaps and natural cosmetics, fudges, and other treats.
Something for everyone and ideal for stocking up on Christmas presents.
There is the Craft Fair Café with lots of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free choices; a craft raffle made up of quality prizes and there is a Children’s Craft Activities on the stage area.
Each year the stall holder fee and raffle fundraising is for one or two charities. In 2024, it was for Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) and the Bone Cancer Research Trust (BCRT).
The kitchen is run by Friends of Sandford School volunteers and raises funds for creative projects, equipment and materials, trips and workshops for pupils at Sandford School and Nursery.
