Speech & Debate Canada Foundation was started in 2017 to continue the passionate work of helping young people. Our benefactor, Mr. Willis McLeese, wanted to ensure that students within Canada would learn communication and leadership skills. He wanted to ensure that no Canadian student, regardless of where they lived or attended school should ever be deprived of the opportunity to learn educational debate.

Today, we continue his legacy across Canada working with various groups, schools and communities to ensure that no child is left behind. Our future as a country and our own democracy is constantly being challenged, we need to ensure that the youth of today are armed with the tools necessary to defend our future in this world.

Debate skills taught at an early age will establish a better democratic future for everyone.
