About this Event

Soulful Saturday Singing Vibes
You'll surprise yourself by how much fun you have and how good you'll feel after.

Sanctuary is like nothing else. Playful, grounded, real. You'll leave feeling uplifted and deeply connected. Your new singing community!

Your leader 🌿

Sanctuary is led by Alfie Jones, an experienced facilitator, choir leader, singer-songwriter and professional musician. Alfie has been singing in choirs since he was 8 and lives to see people discover the joy of using their voices together.

What to bring? 🌿

ÂŁ9/ÂŁ12/ÂŁ15 sliding scale tickets available. PLEASE book via Eventbrite ahead of the events. Come as you are! Wear clothes you feel comfortable in and bring a water bottle if you can. Please arrive a few minutes early.

We could add loads of stuff here about how this culture has lost its roots of ritual and sound, and how you will leave with a deeply regulated nervous system, connection with your self and others... How what we do is both dynamic and sensitive, is trauma-informed... and the powerful magic of bioresonance... but honestly, you just gotta' come experience it to know it.

When?
Saturdays, 2:15pm (for a 2:30pm start)to 4:30pm

There is ususally a lovely community social afterwards with cacao and so factor in time 60-90 mins afterwards if you want to join in with this also!

"beautiful multi-generational, inclusive, caring, sharing and wonderful celebration. These forms of human connection are so needed and I will definitely be participating and contributing!" Kathy B.

"We've had the best day with Alfie and the team. Everyone was really lovely and helpful. The singing was beautiful, the choice of songs and Alfie's teaching were so good! I felt very relaxed and connected. The event attracted many lovely people and I felt right at home. Can't wait come to the next events! Thank you!" - Diana

“It's been amazing and incredibly fun! Alfie is a really great organiser and leader. The circles are super playful, super joyful, and sometimes challenging - in the best way possible - in terms of learning the different harmonies. He is charismatic and inclusive, and the song choices are beautiful. Blissful and beautiful experience, thank you!” - Nikolai

"I've been coming to Alfie's choirs for the last 3-4 weeks and it's been incredible, and such a nourishing community space. The way Alfie held the sessions I always felt completely relaxed and welcome to explore my voice and sing in a way that feels really good. Singing together with other people every week really gives me energy to move forward for the rest of the week. Whatever your experience I really recommend these choirs." - Saraswati

"I never really thought I wanted to be in choirs, or that it would be very exciting, but Alfie's enthusiasm brought me to the choir and I actually just had the best time and felt connected to everyone around me. It was great to explore my confidence in my voice and to play and sing and dance and be in a fun and safe space to explore musically in ways I never had before. He is a great leader and chooses great songs and it was a lot of fun! Thanks so much for a great season, I look forward to doing it again" - Evin

"I always forget how much I love singing in a choir. Alfie holds the space really really well, my memory is awful but the songs were super simple to pick up and ebveryone had a great time. It's such a calming experience, really a good thing for the nervous system" - Tom

"I joined this choir to broaden my musical skills and co-creation and engagement with community. Alfie has done a very good job of putting together a structured session over many weeks thats allowed complete beginners to participate alongside more experienced singers, and they always end with a beautiful feeling of communal love and joy" - Mark

"It was my first time and I was pretty nervous and felt a lot of resistance also, I'm not a big singer and have the feeling that my voice isn't that nice, but the session was really great, Alfie was very good at managing everyone and making everyone feel comfortable in the session. During the session my nervousness went away, I started to really enjoy myself. It was fun with lots of laughter in between and I started to like singing!" - Kim

"I was really hesitant to come to the choir at first because I never really sang in front of people. I enjoy singing in the shower and on my own, but Alfie created the space where we all came together and it felt so amazing. I really learnt to like my voice and to enjoy it. I'm going to miss this, its been a Saturday ritual. Thanks Alfie!" - Sina

We can't wait to sing with you soon!
